Two things happened in this game:

1. The visiting Broncs played incredibly well, shooting 60 percent from the field and building a lead as large as 20 in winning 103-85. Iona was in the game for about six first-half minutes, pulling even at 9-9 on a pair of Jordan Washington free throws at the 15:16 mark, but Rider took the lead about a half-minute later and never trailed again.

It was a 55-48 game four minutes into the second half before Rider's 11-0 run effectively put the game away.

Washington was fantastic, scoring a career-high 38 points to go along with 10 rebounds off the bench.

Rider just showcased a ton more balance as all five starters scored in double figures, led by Jimmie Taylor, who missed just three field goals in pouring in 28 points (5-of-6 on threes). Norville Carey had a career-high 20 points and Stevie Jordan just missed a double-double with 17 points and nine assists, one of which was a feed on a Tyere Marshall lay-up that began the Broncs' second-half run.

2. The broadcast team of Doug Sherman and Rob Kennedy averaged exactly one "basketball" per minute - 20 times each half. Outstanding work, gentlemen.
