Game 313 - Arizona at Washington

February 18 at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, WA
ESPN2

A pair of great freshmen went head-to-head in this one, a 76-68 Arizona victory, and neither disappointed.

Arizona's Lauri Markkanen was all over the glass, grabbing seven of his 13 rebounds on the offensive end, to go along with 26 points in 35 minutes. Markkanen shared high-scoring honors with Markelle Fultz of Washington, who played all but two minutes & added six assists.

It was the Arizona defense that clinched the 14th win in 15 Pac 12 games, holding the Huskies without a field goal and just three Fultz free throws over the final 4:41.

With a free throw at the 3:41 mark of the first half, Fultz set a school freshmen record for scoring. The 6-4 guard, who leads the Pac 12 in scoring, is at 579 points with three regular season games and any conference tournament contests still to play.

The freshmen were the headliners, but Arizona sophomore Allonzo Trier had an excellent game as well, contributing 21 points.
