Indiana Wesleyan, the defending NAIA Div II national champions, saw a 23-point lead get sliced to seven with about 5 1/2 minutes to go, but still won its fifth straight game, 87-78.

Big night for seniors Bob Peters (new captain of the Bob Peters All Stars - the Washington Generals to the Scoochie Smith All Stars' Harlem Globetrotters), who scored 25 points on 6-of-10 from three-point range, & Lane Mahurin, who became the fifth Wildcat to reach the 2,000-point mark.

Mahurin joins Perry Frank, the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,452 points, on that list. Frank was the color commentator Tuesday and he and broadcast partner Roger Alcock had a nice night of nonsense:

"fundamentals 101"
"slamma jamma!"/"take a look at this one from the slam jam cam!"
"muscled it up through traffic"
"there's an old saying - 'teamwork makes the dream work'"
"he got all orange there"
"he has one speed and that's full blast"
"barnburner"
"wheeling and dealing in the paint"
"Grant Evans pouring a little water on this Goshen fire"
