Georgia State led by 11 with about seven minutes to go, but the Panthers had turnover problems all night and let IUPUI get back into the game, and eventually take the lead.
It was an excellent end of regulation for guard Isaiah Williams, who with the Panthers down by four with 30 seconds left, assisted on a Jeff Thomas jumper, then hit a lay-up and the tying free throws with 1.2 seconds to go.
In overtime, IUPUI missed all three of its three-point attempts after a 10-for-19 performance in regulation.
Jeremy Hollowell, whose been great so far in the Replacing R.J. Hunter As Best We Can (RRHBWC) role, converted a conventional three-point play one minute into overtime to put GSU up for good at 70-69.
Hollowell finished with 18 points, a team-high along with Kevin Ware (though the pair combined for 13 of GSU's 22 turnovers).
Not the prettiest of victories, but I think 3-1 with a fairly tight loss at Mississippi through four games is a start the two-time defending Sun Belt champions will take.
