I can't even call what Joey St. Pierre did at the end of overtime a "tip-in". It was more of a shove-in, or a throw-in, but it makes no difference to Wisconsin-Parkside, which picked up an 80-79 win in the final seconds.

With the visitors trailing 79-78, Ramar Evans threw up a shot attempt and St. Pierre jumped for a rebound and with both arms flipped the ball into the basket to make it 80-79. Grand Valley State's Jeremiah Ferguson's attempt at a winning jumper came after the buzzer sounded.

Jake Van Tubbergen's 2-for-2 trip to the free-throw line with 32 seconds left had given the host Lakers their final lead of the day.

St. Pierre scored the last six points and a team-high 20 overall for Wisconsin-Parkside, which shot 47% (11-of-23) from three-point range and improved to 10-5 in GLIAC play.

Grand Valley State (6-9 in GLIAC) got 20 points from both Ferguson and Van Tubbergen.
